Wildflowers & Windmills at Kinderdijk

Did you ever come upon something so remarkable and unexpected that it actually took your breath away?

Suz and the Sun travel, Kinderdijk windmills, Kinderdijk UNESCO, Spring style, Suz and the Sun style

I’m not often rendered speechless, but that’s exactly what happened to me on our trip to Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring windmills from the 1740s.

Rooftops of Marrakesh // Morocco Part 2

Suz and the Sun, Suz and the Sun travel, Marrakesh 2018, Marrakesh travel, Suz and the Sun style, Cafe de France, Cafe de France sunset, Jemaa El-Fnaa square, Jemaa El-Fnaa Square sunset
Now that I've had some time to decompress and get back into the regular swing of things, I can very easily say that my favourite parts of Marrakesh were the rooftop views from each area of the city. Jemaa El-Fna square from Café de France and Café L'Ancien, the view of/from our riad (and a bonus tour picture from Bahia Palance of yours truly and PJ); all were greatly enjoyed with a seat in the sun and some sort of drink in hand - usually mint tea or a cappuccino. Our riad also served alcohol, so we treated ourselves to a bottle of Sahara Reserve.

I can also highly recommend the view of the spice souk from Nomad - just make sure you book in advance!

A morning in Oostende

This weekend, PJ and I decided to do a little bit of exploring in one of his favourite cities by the coast: Oostende. The city has had different mural artists come in over the last couple of years to give the city a little bit of art on its walls; the whole project is called the Crystal Ship. We first planned to ride some bikes around, but quickly decided to make a walk out of it with this map! My personal favourite was this little UFO poll - we didn't even notice them at first.

We finally stopped for some coffee at the cutest little cafe called Albrecht, then continued on with our search for more murals, before finally stopping at the new Upstairs Hotel to check out the interior and give ourselves a tiny break.

We finished our afternoon with some sea-snacks by the water before driving to the ‘other side’ of the city (usually you can take a little ferry across, but we decided to save some time and take the car) to one of the larger murals.

It was really fun exploring with PJ - he was so proud of our art walk and how beautiful this little Belgian coastal spot is!

If I'm being honest (which is tough because I've spent the last 3.5 years bitching about Belgium), I loved it too.

My new love // Zara patchwork print blouse

potd, product of the day, zara blouse, zara patchwork blouse, suz and the sun style, zara style 2018

Oh heLLO beautiful!

I mean, I'm talking initially about the blouse but that model is a beaut too.

I won't lie, I had an "Is this cute or ugly?" moment when I first saw this. I mean, the blue to the brown, the shoulders, the print - I wasn't sold when I first picked it up.

But then I put it on.

It was love at first on-my-bod sight.

I don't know what it is specifically that I love most about this. The fabric is gorgeous and extremely lightweight, I really love how the shoulders sit on my own (I can tell now that my posture exercises are actually working), it tucks perfectly, the buttons are just the right size.

Then I had the ever-present do I need this, or do I just want it? Well let me tell you how hard I justified this purchase in my head with my "I don't have anything like this, especially in these colours, and the structure is so cool, and it's a perfect length for my tiny-person torso..." and on and on and my inner monologue kept going - even longer than this horrific run-on, if you can imagine.

So I did it. I went straight to the register, paid for my new love, went home, (had a nap), and wore this bad girl out to a taco dinner date.

It was perfect. So perfect, I didn't even snap a picture of my outfit in the mirror before I left. But, 10/10 would wear again with nice jeans, which are basically the only pants I wear anyway.

I'm fully in love and not afraid to shout it from the rooftops.

Spring Closet Update // Forever 21 Mini Haul

It's almost the end of Feb, so obviously I'm dreaming of sunshine and warmer temperatures. BUT I live in Belgium, so my blue-sky hopes are usually dashed on the daily. A girl can dream though, right? I mean, I am a Pisces.

That being said, since birthday month is almost upon us, I decided to do a little order from one of my first full-blown shopping loves: Forever 21. I tend to try and stick to the Contemporary line or basics,  and I could easily insert the standard Devil Wears Prada reference about the theme of my more unique picks, buuuuuuut I won't, cause now you're thinking about it anyway.

I'm extremely happy with the purchases I made. I'll be happier when I can wear them (and when my current sinus infection clears up), but a girl in Ghent can't be too picky.

suz and the sun style, spring style, forever 21 spring style, forever21 spring style, spring closet update,

I actually did wear the boxy blouse last weekend when I was out to lunch with PJ - a mistake, because we had chicken satay and I had to wear my coat over it to ensure that no sauce splattered, but I was really impressed with this shirt for the price. It's slightly sheer, so I wore it with a cute black lace bralette underneath, with the front tucked into some black skinnies, and some low-hanging gold jewels to draw the eye down towards the buttons. The BUTTONS! I love them.

The main reason for my venture back into buying from Forever was that denim jacket. I am seriously obsessed with it and the moment I put that on my body, Spring will have officially begun. Granted, in this country that could be in June but I'll take a vacation to somewhere warmer if I need to. I'm that desperate to wear it. Maybe my birthday will suddenly grant me a spectacular day and I'll be able to throw it on at least once in the next few weeks.

Have you gotten anything for the new season yet? What are you loving?

Style & Beauty Favourites // November 2017

November was....a TON of fun. I spent my 5-year anniversary with my main man in London (anniversary dinners at Duck & Waffle and Clos Maggiore?!), saw Queens of the Stone Age, saw some of my extended family, and of course did quiiiiiite a bit of Christmas shopping on Oxford Street...

november favourites, style and beauty, suz and the sun style, black friday haul, london shopping

Not only that, but Black Friday sales have officially made their way to Belgium, too. I obviously had to partake (if only slightly), and picked up a few tiny goodies for myself.

Embroidered cami: Topshop
Embroidered hoodie: Topshop
Amour slogan t-shirt: Topshop
Baker boy hat: ASOS
Frenchie t-shirt: Daisy Street
Suede bag: Mango
IT Cosmetics CC Cream: Selfridges
Instant Detox Mask: Caudalie (mini from the Birchbox pop-up)

I have to say, going shopping in London this time really flipped a switch in my brain - I've been really eager to step out of my comfort zone since returning. It may not seem like it (considering the t-shirts, sweatshirt, and general colour scheme), but I actually have been a bit more daring since returning.

I can't wait to get some good wearing out of my new buys - I'll admit that the sweatshirt has spent more days on my than off since the 17th...

One thing that hasn't changed? My love of being cosy at home - hence the purchase of this little dino dog hottie!

I'm in love. Hobson is jealous. My feet are warm either way - happiness is a warm puppy.

Hope you had a great November - with as much love as mine.

Style & Beauty Favourites // October 2017

october 2017 favourites, style favourites, suz and the sun style, fashion favourites october 2017

I feel like everyone says this, but October flew by. I honestly can’t believe it’s November. Not that I mind, per se - this month I get to celebrate my 5-year anniversary with my best guy in one of my favourite cities in the world: London. An added bonus? My brother, parents, aunt and uncle (the very latter of whom I haven’t seen since 2013) will also be in town, and we have some plans. I’m looking forward to dinners and a concert with Peej, shopping with my mom, coffees and walks with my dad in his old city (he lived in LDN for 11 years) and reuniting with family that I don’t get to see often.

BUT I'm not here to get ahead of myself and truly, October 2017 was incredible. I saw two old friends from Richmond who happened to be in town, proved myself at work, got to work on an amazing photo shoot, watched Belgium beat Cyprus in a World Cup qualifying match, took a rock climbing course, began seriously working out, got into physical therapy for my neck, and (finally) spent the last two weekends shopping, having coffee dates and generally enjoying the company of my boyfriend - something we didn’t get to do much of in the beginning of the month.

Speaking of shopping…I may have gone a bit overboard this month. But shopping is indeed a passion. PJ helped me pick out a lot of these little bit (good lord I love him) but the rest were all me. Introducing my favourites of October 2017 - I am ready to get cosy.

object jacket, america today sweater, mango sweater, zara shirt, zara lace top, new look kimono, object t shirt, a new day scarf, target jurassic park t shirt, suz and the sun style, october favourites 2017

Jacket: .Object (similar)
V-Neck Sweater: America Today
Black Sweater: Mango
3/4 Length Shirt: Zara
Embroidered Lace Top: Zara
Kimono: New Look
World Tour Shirt: .Object
Scarf: A New Day (Target)
Jurassic Park Shirt: Target

Fun fact, dresses usually do not agree with this weirdo body type that I have, and it's the worse because there are SO MANY cute dresses out at the moment and I am dying to wear some dark fall florals with my leather jacket and combat boots. So, instead I'll have to work with allllllll of these tops, like that gorgeous lace top from Zara's TRF line - tried it on a whim and bought it 5 minutes later.

Also, friends are the best, am I right? O said to order whatever I wanted from the States to bring with, because I needed a Target fix and my new scarf is giving me LIFE. I am obsessed. I've worn it every day that it's been cold (and I've even worn it in the office when the AC is a little too high for my liking). Just like I've worn these incredible slippers from New Look

On the beauty side of things, I don't have too much. I've accumulated a lot of things over the past few months from that my favourite vloggers have raved about, but October for me was killing in the self-care side. I discovered the most incredible smelling shower gel - we've already gone through a bottle and every time PJ walks by after a shower I just hug him because he smells so flipping good. Lo and behold:

Though I thoroughly enjoyed October, I'm excited for this month, and ever more excited to celebrate 5 years together with Peej (wearing that embroidered lace top, of course). I'm sure my November favs will include quite a few pieces that I plan on picking up in London (I'm on a mission with my mama for short girl jeans. Belgium is not prepared to deal with ladies under 5'7).

Hope you enjoyed this first November weekend and that you look forward to the rest of the month as much as I do!

Packing List // Fuerteventura

We are finally, FINALLY heading out on a beach vacation for the first time in like three years - to Fuerteventura! To the SUN! Can you tell how excited I am? Do you see the title of this blog?

We finally booked it after I accepted a new position in Gent, which I'll start on the 3rd of July - the day after we get back. Let's hope I'm not looking like a lobster for the first day on the job. We're staying at an all-in resort hotel, which we've done before and liked, though I'm not sure how much time we'll actually be spending on the hotel grounds. There's so much to do on the island.

This week, with PJ out of town, I've been getting ready for the trip and daydreaming (plus napping) about all the things we're going to do - sunning, surfing, and sampling all the tapas I can get my hands on. Which also means that I'm prepping my packing list with all the summer shopping I've been doing. To be honest, I started shopping before we even booked this trip.

My absolute must haves for the week are shorts and swimsuits, though shorts are my summer staple no matter where we are. Add in a cute straw hat and some sunglasses and you basically have my wardrobe set for the week.

fuerteventura packing list, canary islands packing list, suz and the sun travels, suz and the sun style
South Beach Straw Boater Hat with Peach Band (sold out, but I like this one and this one)
Embroidered Cotton Shirt (I. Am. Obsessed.)

This pink embroidered shirt is my everything right now. I didn't even need to try it on, I just knew - and Mango is killer for their tees right now - loving their graphic and slogan tees - I picked this one up a few weeks ago and have gotten so many compliments on it and the pink one above.

The rest of my suitcase will include a few dresses from last year that I just haven't had the occasion to wear, plus lots of greens, whites, neutrals, and all the other swimsuits I can stuff into it. And some sunscreen. Don't forget the sunscreen.

And with that, I'm off to get my nails done. I have a busy Thursday and Friday, with a new team dinner and workshop, then we head to the airport early Saturday. Only three more sleeps til I'm in paradise again with my love. Can't wait!

Rock n' Rose // Gold Chokers

rock n rose chokers, gold chokers, suz and the sun jewels, claudia choker, arlo choker

Happy Sunday!

I can't believe how long it's been since I last posted. SO many things have happened, including my 27th birthday & a few nice weekend getaways to bask in some Vitamin D. Aging, come at me.

rock n rose chokers, claudia choker, arlo choker, renee delicate choker
Claudia, Renee & Arlo, aka my new best friends

The sun has also decided to grace us with its presence and spring is here! I decided to celebrate that fact with a little gift to myself. I've been looking for a nice gold choker but I've only been able to find them on US sites (considering the bloggers I follow). I usually don't like anything tight around my neck, but I finally came across Rock N Rose, a UK-based brand, and these beauties were something special. My choices were pretty clear from the get go. And there was a 25% off sale. It would have been a crime to myself not to indulge. Also, I ordered them Tuesday night and they were in my hands Friday morning.

I got three - one base chain and two to wear with it. I got the Arlo in gold as my base (but I'm equally obsessed with the Joelle and might grab it anyway), and took two toppers: the Renee, a gorgeous delicate chain, and the Claudia. The pink stones scream sunny weekends and white blouses.  It was between those pics and the Alexandra, which would def. match all my turquoise jewelry - but I feel like I'm cheating on my favorite store if I don't buy it in New Mexico.

rock n rose chokers, arlo choker, renee delicate choker, gold plated chokers, suz and the sun style
Arlo is having a little dance on the side of my neck, apparently...

This is basically exactly what I wore yesterday to dinner and drinks with some friends - they showed up at separate times and were both extra impressed with my jewelry decisions. These babies can dress up any shirt. I mean, I know. They're fantastic.

I'm really happy with the vibrancy of the colours - the chains are gold plated so should last for quite some time as long as I take care of them well and don't get caught in any sudden rain storms. But this is Belgium, so...I guess I'll have to be extra careful since I'll probably be wearing them every day this spring and summer, especially for my trip to London in ten days.

Enjoy your Sunday! I'm going back to watching The Lost World and hanging out with my sun puppy.

February Wishlist

It's snowing as I write this, so it seems as good a time as ever to post.

Let it be known from this day forward that I. Need. Sun. I need it so desperately, that today I had a meeting next to a window so that I could absorb a few cloudy rays.

My picks for this wishlist reflect that pretty intensely, save for the sweatshirt. Except it means I’m cold. Which means I need more sun. My logic is flawless, I think.

A colleague of mine actually walked in the day after I saw this Selected shirt and my consumerist heart broke a little when I saw it on her instead of me.To be fair, it suits her really well.

I'm also not really much of a dress and skirt gal, but these ones looked like they needed me to love them. I'm picturing myself with sandals and a nice, cold drink in my hand...

February wishlist, Suz and the sun style, Selected Femme Reve T-shirt,  F21 Contemporary Bell Sleeve Top, ASOS Button Through Mini Tea Dress, F21 Embroidered French Terry Top, Lost Ink Painted Dungarees Dress, ASOS Petit Bardot Sleeve Top
(I actually prefer this ᴧᴧᴧ in white with red text, but it's sold out in my size. C'est la vie)

Hopefully there’s some sunshine in my near future. And then some warmer temperatures, and the some beaches and sea water…I’m thinking a birthday getaway with some of the above seems like the best idea I’ve had in a long time.

Enjoy this snowy Saturday. I'm off to watch Riverdale before exploring Gent with a friend.

Mango leather slippers

 photo hob and white slippers_zpsjmb55mnh.jpg

This little one is very happy that we finally had a glass gate installed in our big bay-type windows overlooking the street. Meanwhile, I'm very happy that the weather is finally warm and dry enough to actually open these windows, while also wearing these gorgeous white loafers from Mango, in the most supple leather I've ever put on my little feet.

Bonus: they're on sale right now!

I prefer to wear them with the backs pushed down as mules, which is how I've seen this type of loafer styled. They're so comfortable and easy to wear with everything, as long as there's no mud in my path (or on my puppy's paws).

Hope you're all enjoying the beginning of July and the weather stays warm and dry.

POTD // Crap Eyewear

http://www.crapeyewear.com/products/the-tuff-patrol-jungle-tortoise-rims-brushed-gold-wire-w-grey-cr-39-lenses-sunglasses

I am ridiculously guilty of always wanting a new pair of sunglasses. To be fair, my eye doctor did tell me that I need to wear my sunglasses as much as possible. But considering my birthday purchase of Ray Bans in Mallorca, I couldn't justify another expensive pair of sunnies to my arsenal.

I've read so much about Crap Eyewear, and these are so similar to the pair that I want without the hefty price tag. Friends, family - if you're looking for a way to save my eyes over the next few months, this would be the perfect summer surprise!

Rompers in RVA

Surprise - I'm in Richmond!

Next surprise - super late to the game but I'm also super into rompers.

white pepper bag, moon bag, gent, belgium, suz and the sun

So Richmond. In an attempt to see my parent's home one last time before they join my brother and I in Europe, I took a little three week vacay to my teenage home.

My phone has been replaced, my exhausted aches and pains have left and I have a new-found love for warm yoga.

Not going to lie though, the weather was better back in Belgium, which actually was another huge surprise, as seen with my photographic evidence on the streets of Gent. Shout out to PJ's photography skills ;)

white pepper bag, moon bag, gent, belgium, suz and the sun
Romper (old, LOVE this one) // Sneakers // Moon Purse (sold out, check out the WhitePepper here) // Sunnies

These two weeks have been extremely relaxing and a little sad - the house looks so different. But seeing all of my friends and how much Richmond has changed since the last time I was here has been so great, not to mention the prices for everything in comparison to Belgium are out of this world (just like that purse up top!!!).

Thanks, RVA. Love ya.

Florals in Mallorca

 photo 618ad5d9-d630-4798-9535-128d03a44734_zpsphgs8qfz.jpg
Could not have had more fun in Mallorca to celebrate my birthday this past weekend. Coming back to Belgium was hard, and has been especially hard this week - I work in Brussels and have been really trying to come to terms with what happened this week. But more on that some other time.

We had such an amazing time lying in the sun on Friday and doing drives up the East & West coasts on Saturday and Sunday. Not to mention the €4 cava and all the tapas we could get our hands on...

Old Town Palma was really special - it was amazing walking around in the small streets, getting lost and appearing into a beautiful honey-coloured square. Not to mention the shopping is amazing, and I finally got to visit a Stradivarius store, where I snagged this amazing floral olive bomber for my birthday! Such fun, especially after gelato ;)

I can't wait to be back. I definitely now have a plan to visit all of the islands surrounding Spain - by boat, if I really need to.

Mint & Green in Mallorca

I am so exhausted, but I can't even be mad about it because this week is both my birthday (happy St. Patty's ;)) & we're going to MALLORCA for a long weekend. I plan to eat my way through the island so bikini shots may be limited.

My love of green and islands definitely shows on my green wishlist. I read today that mint is going out of season, but let's be honest, mint is not leaving my body or my mojitos (which I plan to enjoy this weekend, too).

 photo 5 green for spring_zps6sjzcqdo.png

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5

These ASOS mint gladiator sandals got me like whaaaaat. I am obsessed. So obsessed. Had I found these two weeks ago they would be on my feet from the time I stepped off the plane probably until September, Belgian weather be damned!

Now I just have to get through this week and a 5am train ride for my 7am plane, but then it's sea, sand and sun for three full days with my love!

Rock the Red Carpet x Farfetch

You know those days when you wanna look damn good and make sure every single person knows it?

Right, so, basically every day.

I got a fun challenge to create a look for and inspired by awards season to rock the red carpet using just items on the Farfetch website, which, c'mon - let's be real: how could you not want to look at beautiful clothes all day, every day.

It's been so damn cold here recently that I've actually started dreaming about Spring, so I used the sun (the one on my wrist and that massive ball of gas in the sky) as inspiration for this, hoping and wishing for the first day that it's nice enough to not wear wool.

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7

Okay. Obviously. The dress. Wow. If I could only wear one colour for the rest of my life it would 100% be this. It reminds me of  Lupita Nyong'o's blue Prada dress from the 2014 Oscars which I think women across the world collectively fell in love with, along with her. And it reminds her of Nairobi. Could she be more perfect? Could this dress?

And can you tell I have a thing for eyes? Not that they have to be blue, but I do enjoy this ring and phone case combo with the different shades (The Blonde Salad is like the epitome of #girlboss and I can't get enough of her shoes/accessories with the winking eyes).

I decided to go with some white accessories and the playful colourful stones in these Aquazzura shoes. I know, I know, the red carpet is the time to go all out with stilettos, but here I am trying to be considerate of my poor muscles (since all of my daydreams of this obviously have me wearing it, and my bum hip and knee don't really agree with 4" heels but love a good block sandal/boot/anything).

But I adore the sort of innocence of the outfit paired with a small diamond pseudo-choker and the complete badassery of that shark tooth necklace next to the. Good lord, want it, need it, gotta have it. It reminds me of Cape Town and Gansbaai and those absolutely massive animals in the ocean. Lupita has her dress to remind her of home, and my necklace does the same.

Fate? Some might say yes.

Fine, it's probably just me that says yes, but work with me here...

Fitting that I'm doing this on Valentines day and my outfit is the complete opposite of this - black on black on black on block heeled booties, but I keep showing this to PJ in the hopes that he's imagining me in it.

Hope your day is filled with lots of love (and beautiful everything)!

Suz

Cactus Print // &OS Gent

 photo AOS cactus print_zpsw7ifm7rf.png
My favourite parts of the weekend in Gent are the combined desire to go shopping and stay in bed. I always feel extra guilty since Hobson always wants to play on a Saturday morning, so getting up isn't the issue - it's getting out. But considering it takes all of 10 minutes to bike to the centre of town, I can't really complain too much.

Town was, as is usual on the one-day-per-weekend when everything is open, packed on a Saturday so we actually steered clear of the big shopping street - considering it was also the last day of the sales period, we knew my favourites would be absolutely swamped.

After making our necessary purchases (damn cold season means we have to stock up on the essentials: tissues, flowers to make the room pretty, a jewelry holder because I liked it...), and a pit-stop at a BAGEL RESTO (omg I was so excited), we were walking to our bus stop to go home when ya know, & Other Stories just caught my eye. There was absolutely no way that I planned it like this...

photo and other stories cactus print dress_zpssvycca5j.png
And thank God we stopped in because I left with the cutest cactus print dress. Whenever I get those there, I actually always wear them as a light jacket instead since people in the BENELUX area are giants and none of the clothes fit me the way they're supposed to.

I love love LOVE this print - PJ also got really excited since it reminded him of New Mexico. It's the first place I ever lived in the US and one of the vacations we took together to visit my family. And for the absolutely ridiculous price of €22.50, this little baby was mine, and PLEASE mother nature, let me have some warmer temperatures so I can cover my body with this asap.

Hope your Sunday is as relaxed as mine is (aside from my farting puppy)!

ASOS shoe sale

asos shoes, asos sale, caged heels, strappy heels, suz and the sun shoes
1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5

There's a pretty damn good reason why my friends and family use the nickname Shoezi fairly often when we're out shopping...lets be honest, these trips often end up in a section that make my feet very happy, but my wallet not so much.

And while everyone has those post-holiday blues, I'm really, really feeling it this year since Belgium has these two insane shopping-filled sale months per year. For people without day jobs its like heaven. For those of us staring at a screen all day it's a less than desired situation to be in.

Which is why I turn to ASOS and all these post-2015 sale stunners. New year, new heels #2016goals! At least I can get my fix somehow...

I've really gotten into strappy heels lately, but especially those that keep my ankles in place. With a pretty bum right hip it can be really difficult for me to wear heels that don't have an ankle strap, though I've been branching out with some pumps and mules this holiday season (though, tbh I was sitting and eating a lot of that time).

When I can finally decide what pair will soon be on my little footsies, my ankles will be telling me *yes* even when my bank account says nooo. I figure I can shake this off as a work investment - event coordinators need to look professional, right? ;)

Forever 21 // Autumn Picks

So I think we're all pretty aware that Forever 21 has some pretty big plans for their future and is really stepping it up in terms of style geared towards...well...people my age, aka the millenials of the world.

And recently, a lot of *ahem* high rollers have been seen wearing those very same shirts we can shop!

But I've gotta say, I've loved the brand since I first started buying chains upon chains of cheap jewels there back in my teens. Most of my most beloved, bright pieces come from the fast fashion giant, and I am in no way ashamed of my love for them, and it just makes me really excited that they're going to get the recognition they deserve for being a company that can churn out affordable, great pieces ( as long as you take care of them), and has awesome brand partnerships.

(And, I can only hope that these positives will also turn into more high quality pieces, use better metals in jewelry and safer working conditions in factories across the world.)

Today I'm showing you some of my recent favourite pieces for fall that I can't wait to get my hands on :D

They're a little more subdued and a touch more 'professional', if you will, than what I usually wear, but I. Love. It.

I'm in this crazy "must-get-work-clothes" mindset even though my office is ultra casual (I'm mostly in jeans, occasionally with my dog in my lap), and I'm really digging the preppy/varsity/laid back but boss-lady vibes a lot of the pieces are giving me.

I'm especially impressed with the contemporary line, and that high-neck crochet dress has me catching my breath, and with those silver jewels and a big floppy hat?

Send me to boho heaven! I could die happy. Though not before wearing those clothes.

Here's to the beginning of autumn and a whole new way to wear our clothes!

On the job

Hey, I got my new shoes on and suddenly everything's right...

Last week was AMAZING. I had some friends with me in Bruges on Monday when I got a phone call that rocked my world...I got a job! And I got it fast; they wanted me to come in for a prelim meeting the next day and to sign my contract by Thursday and to sit in on an events meeting.

Well I did, and so today marked my very first day! Luckily for me, the office is really casual and fairly cool, especially nice during this little heat wave we're having.

I didn't have time this morning during the rush to snap a photo, but PJ gladly took one of me and my first day baked goods (they also made a good impression :)!)

I went with a button down bright chiffon top with some blue jeans, and my new favourite shoes (I feel like I use this expression far too often) from COS in a flat slipper style.

I had such an amazing day, and I can only hope that the rest of my time at my new job is just as amazing. The train ride home was SO hilarious!
